PADDLEBOARD YOGA / AKA FLOATING YOGA
Floating Yoga is a 60 minute vinyasa flow yoga class that doesn’t take place on your mat, but instead on a stand up paddleboard (SUP). It is an experience with all the benefits of Yoga and SUP. Floating Yoga is for all levels of yogis who can practice under the sun and on the water.
The first 15 minutes of class is a peaceful paddle to yoga practice. The following 30 minutes, you will journey through a vinyasa flow yoga class. You will receive instruction on pranayama (breath work), meditation and a variation of postures. Floating Yoga is a fluid practice where asanas (poses) are linked together to create a seamless vinyasa flow. The last 15 minutes you will paddle back to the dock feeling strong, refreshed, exhilarated and inspired.
This class is for both beginners (who don’t need to be flexible to enjoy the experience) and for advanced yogis (who will be improving their in-studio practice because the poses have to be aligned just perfectly for even weight distribution on the board). Modifications are provided, so you can make it your own practice.
Every class is a unique and rejuvenating experience on the water, where you can nurture and grow your yoga practice. You will feel physically, mentally and spiritually balanced after each class. Come outside to play, soak up the sun, laugh in the water and practice your SUP Yoga.
